Long loading time for the printer job
Good afternoon. I'm having a printing problem. The job is being generated, and the bartender logs say it was sent at, say, 2:53 PM, but it's actually printed at 2:58 PM. This applies to different quantities of labels, maybe 1,000 or 5,000. We have a print server with 8 printers, which can theoretically print simultaneously, but typically only 4-5 are running at any one time.

If the printer has an LCD, when it is printing does the display say printing 1 of 1 for each label or printing 7 of 1000, for example. If the former then the delay could be the print job being spooled as each label is being sent as an individual file to the printer. To get round this you would need to be using a device font rather than a true type font for any text fields and have the allow serialisation enabled in Print>Performance tab when using a Seagull driver
With this enabled the print file will be sent to the printer as one document using the printers internal serialisation features and that should reduce the time to spool the job

With the correct printer driver selected, they will be available in the font drop down list
