Printing To File With Graphics Does Not Work Properly

Hi,

 

I'm new BarTender user and trying to print out label data into the file.

So I'm trying to print labels by Toshiba TEC SX5 printer. Label data into printer is coming from OMRON PLC and I'm using serial connection(RS-232). Actually in my case there's no any other change than serial connection.

 

I'm using BarTender to form my label, and to print out label data as a commend line pipe as the following simple example :

OK, this works and no problem anymore. I'm abe to send it and it works fine.

 

But, in case that I'm adding etc bitmap file(Create ---> Picture(from file) and printing it out to file, it looks like :

So, file format in SG command line is totally messed and I'm not capable to write it into the serial port...it will be failed.

Any idea, is this a bug or only some parameters chance issue?

I have tried also gif and jpeg format, but same problem as well.

  The data you see in the print file is encoded data produced by the driver for the SG graphics command.  The file format for the picture in the BarTender document is irrelevant in this respect.  In the BarTender document open the "Print" dialog and click the "Document Properties" button.  In the driver dialog that opens select the "Options" tab and try using one of the uncompressed "Transfer Mode" options as I guess you're not getting on well with the default TOPIX compression mode.

  There´s no problem to work from BarTender with SX5, you can work with TOPIX or whatever you want
  You´ll have a Syntax Error if you print to file and open it with notepad to print it with a Generic Text file. Notepad add al LF CR and it corrupt the graphic. If you follow Ian´s instructions you´ll be able to work with notepad
