License Query?
Hi,
We purchased a TSC TA200 printer that came packaged with Bartender Ultra. I currently have set this up on one of our office computers and it has been performing fine. However, I would like to be able to print via the network. The printer is easily detected over the network, but it doesn't seem possible to print .btw files without Bartender installed as well.
What exactly are the license terms for the Ultralite edition? The install wasn't particularly clear. According to the EULA the Automation and Automation Enterprise editions are based on the number of printers being used, and the Professional and Basic editions are based on the number of computers being used.
The section concerning Ultralite however simply says it may be used via Manual Data Entry only and isn't clear on whether there is a restriction. Could I install Ultralite on more than one computer in the office? Or is there a way to print .btw files without using Bartender?
Thanks

The BarTender Ultra-Lite is limited to printing to any printer that uses a Seagull printer driver for the printer brand that the Ultra-Lite edition is for. In your case this is for TSC printers only. There is no technical restriction on how many computers you install the software upon. A BTW file is a document file of BarTender; to my knowledge no other application can read a BTW file. You can use the TSC printer driver with any other Windows application, that can handle Windows printer drivers, without restriction.
