Unable To Connect To Seagull Licensing Server

Hello,

 

We are currently using Bartender 7. The seagull server is running on a windows XP system with two windows 7 computers that currently connect. We are attempting to connect a 3rd windows 7 system however the application can not find the Seagull server. I can ping the IP with no problems and I have confirmed that the ports are unblocked and the firewall is off however bartender is still unable to connect. Any help with this would be appreciated.

  You are likely running into a hops issue when trying to reach the license server, all versions before 8.0 of BarTender have a hops limit, another thing that could be contributing to the issue is that version of the software is not compatible with Windows 7 and there could be issues in regards to that.

   

  I would suggest speaking with the Seagull sales team in your region about acquiring a compatible version of the software for Windows 7, as the Windows 7 compatible versions will have no hops limitations.
