Bartender Crashing On Autosave?
Hello.
We have just upgraded to Bartender 10.0 SR2 on my PC and since then I frequently get the "Bartender Needs to shut down" error.
This happens mainly after I leave Bartender open and leave it running in the background after using it. There is no set time period (i.e. 5 mins, or 60 mins, etc) in which this occurs. Once I re-open the program, it asks me to auto recover my files that were open. It has never happened while using the program, just after it is idle. As well, some files are being saved to a network drive, some are not...it just happens randomly.
Is this being caused by bartender auto saving files? Is there a way to turn that off?
I am using Windows XP if this helps with any input.
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance!

This sounds a bit strange. I suggest that you update to SR4 and check to see if this still occurs.

I trust that you're running XP sp3 as this is a requirement for v10.0 of BarTender.

Dumb follow-up question...
If I upgrade to the SR4 version, do i need to have my licence key handy? I don't physically have it, my IT Dept does.
Thanks.

If you don't deactivate first then you will be okay. The service release upgrade process will automatically pick up your existing activation.
