Query Ms Access Database From Data Entry Form
First off, thanks to all the people out there taking the time to answer these questions.
BT 10.0 SR4 Enterprise Automation.
Now for the request:
All of our product information is contained in a MS database. It's a very simple database with only our part number, customer part number, part description, country of origin.
In order to limit user data entry, I'd like them to only need to enter a part number on the data entry form, but the customer also requires the description and country of origin. The users will be using a scan gun to enter the part number, so human error pretty much an non-issue.
Is it possible to query the database by the part number to obtain the description and country of origin from the data entry form at print time?
If it's even possible, I assume this will require some VB scripting. A sample would be greatly appreciated.
Any help would be greatly appreciated..

Hello Jon,
Thank you very much for your post.
With BarTender you will be able to do a database query where you can select only the records which database field will comply with a condition. In this training video you will be able to see how to do it after the minute 4:15
Thanks,
Carlos
