Create Btw File With Activex
Hello,
I am a newbie to BarTender/Seagull and perhaps COM programming. Can someone please tell me whether it is possible to create a new BTW template file using code? The sample in the WhitePaper on ActiveX Automation Interface works for me (with some minor modifications) for a WinForm application.
The Formats.Open method seems to insist that the template file exist.
I would like to create a new BTW file via code. Is this possible or am I trying to push a square peg into a round hole? Any guidance would be sincerely appreciated.
Can I reference a blank (a la CAD seed file) template and then start placing BarTender objects into the file? Sorry if this question sounds stupid.
Thanks!

No, it's not possible to create the template programatically. The way that BarTender is designed to work you create the templates in the BarTender application, then use the .NET or ActiveX connection to pass information into it.
