Bartender 2016 Keeps Blocking Excel Files After Initial Access
Hello,
We have started using the new Bartender version 2016.
However it seems that if we use an Excel file as target for a database connection, Bartender will keep the Excel file blocked until the Bartender application is shutdown.
Closing the BTW file is not enough !
In my opinion Bartender would only have to open the Excel file while in the querying/printing process, and then immediately close the file afterwards.
Does anyone have a solution for this, it seems to me that this must be a bug ?
Best regards
Brian

If you are using BarTender 2016 R1, please download the R2 update which was released last week and see if the problem persists.

Have now updated, but now I get an error when BT tries to open a connection to the Excel file.
The Microsoft.ACE.OLEDB12.0 provider is not registered on the local machine ??
I have not been able to reboot the machine yet, since its installed on a production server.
Any ideas ?

Problem solved !
You can not use both 32/64bit versions of Bartender when using Excel database connections.
