Hello, 

 

I am currently using BarTender to scan passwords into the password section in our companies programs. 

My boss recently asked me if it was possible to include the log in and password on the same bar code and I know it is, but every time I put in the Horizontal Tab function on data source it does not do anything. When I scan the printed bar code it shows the log in and password on the same line. Is there anything I can do ? please help! Thank you in advance.

  I generally recommend you program the scanner to insert this tab instead of encoding it into the barcode, as I get mixed results like you do.

   

  You would basically put a separator character between the fields, program the scanner to scan up to the separator, insert a tab, then scan the rest.

  Thanks, I appreciate your recommendation, but is there another way? I would have to program 200+ scanners
