Cell More Than 255 Characters In Excel 2007

Hello,

 

I using your example for the EU FIC Allergen label, with a database in excel 2007.

When my cell is more than 255 characters, in my label I get only the first 255 characters,

 

How can we reslove this issue?

  Hello Alain,

   

  The problem is caused by the way Excel identifies the "data type" contained in a field: it uses the first few records as sample (I might be wrong but I think it actually uses the first record only). This means that in order for Excel to label a field with a data type that is able to contain more than 255 characters you need to specify such value in the first record.

   

  As an alternative I would strongly recommend that you use a proper database such as Access, SQL, etc.
