Override "no Records Found"

Hi,

 

I have a label that is generated for each record returned from a SQL query to an Oracle database.  If the user doesn't enter the correct data in the prompt, or if the data is not setup correctly in the database there will be no records found when the SQL query is executed, and the user will get the generic pop-up message "No Records Found". 

 

Is there a way for me to override this generic message with a more specific message to the user to help them determine what the problem is?

  You can specify the handling of messages via the "Administer>Application Message Setup" menu item in BarTender.  This one is message #3200.

   

  Note that in newer versions of BarTender we have a UserMessage() function in VB script that allows you to generate custom application messages.

   

  UserMessage(BtMsgSeverity, Message)

   

  Sends a BarTender message with the specified severity and message text.
