Missing Characters In Text Box

Using an Intermec Easycoder 3240 406dpi label printer with Bartender Driver 7.3.3, and Bartender 9.4 Automation Edition.  We are required to print text in Arial Narrow font size 4, and one of the characters is an underscore (_).  All prints perfectly except for the underscore as it just leaves a space.  On print preview, it is there however.  If we use size 6 it works perfectly, and size 4 with any other font we try is also ok.  Has anyone run into this issue with Arial Narrow, or can explain why it would not show up?  We can print the Arial Narrow 4 underscore on Zebra 203, 300, 600 dpi no problem, but not on our Intermecs...

  The printer is probably struggling to get the heat down in time to transfer the ink.  Try a slower print speed and higher darkness setting.

  Thanks Ian.  I would have never thought this was the issue (I literally thought Bartender was omitting the character from the print job) but yes, after slowing it down to the lowest speed, the underscore now shows (it is the thickness of a hair).
