Using A Template Based On The Data From Data Source
Is there a way for me to select a template on the fly, using the data from the source?
ex:
Cust A --> Template A
Cust B --> Template B
I'm thinking of this setup:
We have the orders on a .csv file which triggers the bartender label
Bartender will then read the data in the .csv file.
We will have another look-up file (maybe an Excel or another CSV file) wherein we have a list of customer and the label to use for their order.
Bartender will then check the which label to use for this specific customer.
Bartender will then print the label.
As I'm really new to using Bartender, is it possible to do this? Please help.

Yes, this is indeed possible (but please have in mind that all templates on a BT .btw document will use the same page setup and printer). Find attached a sample which demonstrates how this can be achieved. Under BarTender's "File > Page Setup" dialog, you will basically setup a "Template Selector". When using a "Template Selector", only one template will print each time. The Template Selector is set to look into the "Type of Card" database field. When the record content of this field matches the name of the BT template, then this particular template will print.
You will need to rename "Karten.txt" into "Karten.xlsx". Then, in BT's "File > Database Connection Setup" dialog, "Options" tab, press the "Setup..." button and specify the folder to which you've saved the .xlsx" file.0 -

I can't load the Template Selector.btw, it says it is created from a newer version. can you send me one from version 9.2SR20 -

You need to upgrade to version 10.0 in order to do this. The feature is not supported in 9.2. 0
