    We are using Bartender
    Version: 6.00
    Build: 443

    Current OS: Windows 2008 R2
    Application: Citrix XenApp 6.5

We have using this version without issue on our Windows 2003 server.

I'm afraid that BarTender v6.00 is very old and it's certainly not compatible with Windows 2008 R2. In order to work on this OS you'll need BarTender v9.2 or higher.

I'm running a web service utilizing the Interop.BarTender.dll version 9.20.  Normally we don't have an issue but maybe once or twice a day we get this error.  The exception caught from the service is something like: (I'm guessing because the web service crashed).

Symptom I will see are 4-5 unclosed bartender.exe applications on the server task manager with 0 CPU utilization, which means they were unclosed by the service. Is this because there is a limit to how many bartender applications that can be open at any one time on the server?

System.ServiceModel.FaultException: The server was unable to process the request due to an internal error.  For more information about the error, either turn on IncludeExceptionDetailInFaults (either from ServiceBehaviorAttribute or from the <serviceDebug> configuration behavior) on the server in order to send the exception information back to the client, or turn on tracing as per the Microsoft .NET Framework 3.0 SDK documentation and inspect the server trace logs.
