Continuous Prompts For Print Job
Not sure if this has been answered elsewhere, but I am trying to find out if there is a way to print multiple labels without having to click the print button to restart the print process for each successive label. I am making a box label for a master carton which contains 4 items. The label prompts for the four individual SNs and then I click "Print" to generate the label. To print the next label, i have to click "print" to select/verify the printer, "print" to initiate the label and prompt for the 4 SNs, then "print" again to actually print the label. I want to be able to click "print" once to verify the printer, click "print" to initiate the label and prompt for the 4 SNs and click print to generate the label and automatically be back at the data prompts for the 4 SNs for the next label. This will eliminate a lot of clicks. Is this possible. I am using the enterprise version of Bartender v10.

Sounds like you should create a batch of labels using Batch Maker, saving as a *.btbat file. Then use Print Station to select and print this batch file.

I disagree with Ian ... sounds like you should change the print settings on the label to yes for the "Repeat data entry until cancelled" flag

Thanks, Ian, but I found the option I was looking for. There is an "Automatically print again" checkbox on the Options tab of the print menu which returns me to the data prompt screen as soon as the the last label prints.

Really useful tips - "Repeat data entry until cancelled" flag. It's very helpful for my request which is similar to Lunarcrank.

In Bartender 10 we created a simple label with data to be looked up in a database.The users scanned the barcode and printed the label with Print Station.The label input dialogue remained open even after printing one label so the next lookup and print process
could be started immediately.Then we upgraded to Bartender 2016. :blink:The same label - imported with no changes and the option "Repeat data entry until cancelled" still set -
can't be printed with Print Station in an ongoing process because the input dialogue always closes when one label has been printed.One has to start the label print dialogue again to be able to input the data for the next label.0 -
asterix: I'm not seeing this same problem, although I'm using BT 2016 to create the document in the first place. Try creating a simple text document using BT 2016 to see if you get the same problem still. If you re-save your label in BT 2016 does it fix the problem?
BTW: BarTender 2016 R2 is due for release in the next few days, so keep an eye out for the update to download and install.0 -

I created a new document in the first place with BarTender 2016 R1. Same behaviour :-(
After installing R2, both documents worked. Unpleasant! A lot of work for nothing.
