File Threadmessagequeuexxx Being Written To C:\programdata\seagull\cache

Hi,

I have a problem where a server running Bartender is being overloaded with files in c:\ProgramData\Seagull\System\Cache with the name form ThreadMessageQueue1.XXXXXXXXX with a size of 4.7Mb. The contents appears to be messages from the license server.

I have to clear out regularly to keep the server from running out of disk space. 

 

What's going on, and how do I fix it ?

  This has to do with Bartender's connection to the System Database which is the SQL server where you store print job, application message and other BarTender Suite data.  On those occasions where the BarTender System service is unable to make a DB transaction to the System Database it will cache the transaction to the local disk until such time as the DB is properly available.  You can see this setting via the "Tools>BarTender System Database Setup" menu item.
