The easiest option is to install a PDF printer driver of some kind and then print the label using this printer driver. I use CutePDF myself which is a free download from the internet.

I sometimes find that the resulting PDF doesn't accurately represent how the label actually comes out on paper. I think it depends on what printer the label's set up for; if it's for A4 laser-printing it seems to be ok, but a little one designed for a TEC B-SX4 can have problems. Sometimes it tells me the PDF 'printer' doesn't support the page size and offers to automatically adjust the page size, but even without this the PDF can come out with objects misaligned or the text will have a different appearance.

I'm using BarTender Enterprise 8.01. The PDF driver I use now is Adobe's own one, as I've handily got Acrobat installed, but I've used others in the past with similar results. Appreciate this might be more a PDF question than a BarTender question!

I suspect that this will be a problem caused by the PDF driver in use as they are pretty much designed around a page format of A4/US Letter format. You might like to know that in v10 we now support exporting to PDF as an image format. That might be an option worth exploring with the Trial edition for later upgrade if it works out for you.
