Once a printer has been installed and the Printing Preferences/Page Setup have been configured (i.e. Stock Name, Orientation, Effects, and Preset), where does this information get stored?

Users profile? File in the users profile?

  By default these printing preferences will be stored on a per user basis in the below registry key:

   

  HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Printers\DevModes2

   

  Note that when using BarTender, these DEVmode settings are copied and embedded into the document itself from where they can be modified independently of the Windows default settings.  It also helps make this a portable document for use on other computers that just needs the same printer driver installed in order to print as designed.
