Script That Runs When User Prints
I have the script I want, but I want it when the user activates a print job on a tag. I was getting frustrated with vb, so I have it toss all the tag info to a text file and then wrote a second application in java to run a check on the data, which will aggressively prompt the user that a data doesn't match up. Now it's a matter of putting the script where it will be the most useful. Since a lot of the guys cut and past UPC codes, It isn't that helpful to put it there, so I was hoping that I can figure out a way to get it to run at print time.

Figured it out, finally. Which leads me to a huge complaint about Bartender. It is very poorly documented. The white papers, for example, are just an overview of how it can be integrated, but really I think it was setup that way to hide the lack of capability. From what I can gather, I could be wrong but again the documentation is poor, the best you can really do with integration is setup a print engine in say c# and tell it what tags to print and how many. There doesn't seem to be a way to get or set information from the tag template itself. Anyhow, I think to something like JAVA docs as a comparison, which would help Bartender immensely. Some coding tutorials would also help.
To add scripts at time of engagements for your template (i.e. saving, printing, ect...), go to View -> Options. In Options click on the VB Scripting tag. There you can add your script.
