Can I Use A Barcode Scanner To Pick The Records I Want To Print In Record Picker
I work at a grocery store that has bartender 2016 . Anytime we want to make Shelf Price Tags, we open up the MASTER INVENTORY EXCEL FILE and hit "CTRL F", and enter either the Order Number or the UPC NUMBER to find that item, we then highlight that item (entire excel row) and copy and paste it into the Blank Excel File
After we have done all these items we print only from the "blank file that we pasted rows in " using a label I made called "print from blank excel"
Can I buy a barcode scanner and in record picker where we have the database excel file connect with all 35,000 grocery items and be able to scan a UPC Number and highlight that row of that item scanned and then be able to scan yet another item and keep that one highlighted as well , that way say if we scan 40 items, scan all 40 items and we can just hit print all while remaining in the record picker after I hit print on my label
This may not be possible. We have common order code - msi plessy and also a upc number. It would be nice to scan a barcode and it automatically find that row in record picker and automatically highlight it

A barcode scanner is just another device to get info from a user, it is no different from a keyboard.
The short answer is yes, but I would change your label a little so that it doesn't open up the entire list of records to pick at that point. Make it so that when you want to print it asks which record, prints the record and than asks for the next record.
Still can't upload images for some reason ...
So on the print options window of the label document set the "Queried Records" to All (you may need to set up a new Query Prompt in the Database Connection Setup) and on options tab check the "Repeat data entry until cancelled" flag

Our printer doesn't print one label at a time. Our printer prints 18 labels or shelf tags per sheet. I need to be able to scan 1-18 items and then print. If that's possible.
This will make things so much easier such as new items that come in that we don't currently have a label for0 -
Sorry... In other words we are printing through a brother laser printer. Not a handheld or side single label at a time printer 0
