Prompt To Print A Color On The Label.
I am trying to figure out a way to have the my label setup so the print operator can choose what color should be printed on the label. My thought is to have a user get prompted to choose a color via a drop down or something similar and by choosing that color a box will fill in with the color chosen. I'm using version 10.1 automation version. I figured out a way to add a layer to the label and fill the a box on a different layer conditionally based on a database field description. However, that would mean I would have to add thousands of layers for every PMS color in the book since I've discovered our description field does not always list the color blue, yellow, etc.. I need to have the operator printing the label, choose the color at print time and then a box would fill in with color. Is this something simple that can be setup, or does this involve complicated VB Scripting?

You need VB Scripting, but not that complicated.
