Using Url As Source Field For External Picure File
Hi all,
I am trying to use an url address as the file name for an picture source. As the picture location may change based on the what the product is, I need it get the location from the database field. I keep getting an error that the file is not found. Is it not possible to use an url as a source or must it be saved as a file.

BarTender does not have the capability to pull images directly from an internet URL, it has to be in the file system that the PC can utilize, either locally or via your network.

This is an old thread but, but has this changed? Or is there another way to do this?

Not currently as far as I am aware.
BarTender 2019 is due to be released next month and I am unaware whether that will include this functionality

Will the 2021 include this functionality? It would change my world.

Don't think so I can not see this as an option in my version
