Getting Bar Code Info From Data Entry Field

Hi,

 

One our new labels, we will have a bar code, which is essentially a serial/lot number. This number is entered and appears in a field upon printing. In other words, the user is prompted to enter a number prior to printing.

 

How can I link the bar code so that it picks up information from the data entry field?
