Changing The Quiet Zone Indicators To Text

We have been given a specification from one of our customers that requires the quiet zone indicators are changed to Text instead of < & > even though they state that the barcode is EAN8!

 

 

ie M 12345678 S instead of < 12345678 >

 

Is there a way of changing these to text?

  Please note that quite zone indicators are pretty meaningless outside the press printing industry.  If the option to change them don't exist, then simply create separate text objects on the label and position them as needed.

  I was hoping for an easy way round this one but I guess its lots of manual changes for someone to make.
