It sounds like your database contains Unicode encoded data for the Cyrillic text. Unfortunately BarTender v7.51 is not a Unicode supporting application. This feature came in with v7.70 onwards. Therefore to solve this you should get a new version of BarTender which fully supports Unicode for all international fonts and scripts.

Download the latest Trial from the below link:

    Hi!

    Thanx for the reply!

    is it possible to do a service-upgrade from 7.51 to 7.7x ?

we have a quite big application and therefore the chance to run into trouble with an older version instead of
a completely new release like 10.x is smaller.

    Regards,
    Hans

I believe that BarTender v7.7x is no longer available to purchase. I suggest that you download the latest Trial edition and do some testing to ensure that no problems will get in the way of a smooth upgrade. Consult with our sales department directly or your local reseller for further information.

    Hi!

    Thanx for the information.

Accodrding to the upgrade information, I understand that upgrading from 7.51 to 7.7x would be a service release with no costs.

Is there any possibility to download or receive this older version from an archive ?

This would really help us with our project.

I dont think that buying 7.7x is possible with any reseller.

    Thanx in advance!

    regards,
    Hans

Unfortunately no, that's not the case. 7.51 to 7.7x was a paid upgrade. At this point neither of those versions is available to purchase, you'll need to contact your reseller to discuss getting a more recent version.

    Hi!

    Thanx again for the information.

I am not sure which one of the new versions we need.

we have 7.51 International Enterprise running on 1 pc using 2 TOSHIBA printers.

We are using Bartender to print from Access 2003 by command line arguments.

would the "Automation" version be sufficient or do we need "Enterprise Automation" for our needs ?

    Thanx in advance!

    regards,
    Hans

Probably the Automation edition will suffice for all your needs, but check through the edition summary and feature matrix to make sure.

    Hi,

I have got a problem with encoding cyrilic characters into a QR code. When I read

    the QR code I see ty~(one) uu(four)

The QR code symbology only represents some of the standard ASCII characters, and a special "shift" mode for Japanese.  It doesn't support non-western alphabets.  Try using Data Matrix, or similar, instead.
