Save A Template From A Vbscript
I am using serialization for one of the fields on my label and and have the checkbox "Update data source after print". Unless the label is saved after printing the label this value seems to be lost. Is there a way to automatically save the label format (something like Format.save) from within a vbScript that is executed from within BarTender?

If I understand correctly you need to "force" saving the BarTender document as it seems that you might close it without saving it?
Are you always printing from BarTender or through some sort of integration?
1. If printing from BarTender you might want to consider using Print Station instead. When using this application every time you print, the document will be saved after printing.
2. You might also consider setting a default response to the "Save before close" message (#1605) through the "Administer>Application Message Setup..." option in BarTender. This way you can set it to automatically save when closing a document, saving the last printed serial number.
3. If on the other hand you are integrating BarTender from another application you might need to force the BarTender document to save upon closing. For example, if using the command line interface you'll need to add the /XS command for this purpose. If you give me more details on how you are printing I might be of further help.0 -
