Serialization Of Labels
I am trying to create rack labels for our warehouse with Barcodes for Scanning. the Labels of each rack go 0001A, 0001B, 0001C,0001D,0001E,0001F,0001G,0001H,0001I.
the next rack would be 0002A, 0002B, 0003C, etc
I am having trouble getting bar tender to serialize my labels like this. they are listed from top to bottom I-A .
If I remove the letter at the end, bar tender has no problem with the serialization of the numbers, but adding the Alpha label to the end of each label, seems to confuse it.
I don't know if I have the correct serialization options, or validation, or trunication options selected, any help would be most appreciated.

Make it 2 different data sources (Called 'sub-strings' prior to version 10). The number data source can serialize by one every 1 label, and the number can sit static (or serialize if you want it to on it's own counter).
Or you could just add a suffix of A, B, C, etc to each field. You can find suffix options under the Transforms tab in version 10, or the More Options button in version 9.4-0
