Isbt 128
I am wondering if anyone can tell me how to get ISBT 128 as an option for barcode type in Bartender? It is listed as a supported symbology, yet it is not available when I design a new label. Thnx

Hi Arkadi,
ISBT-128 is a modification of the Code 128 barcode. You can configure it manually, but really there's no need to do that. On the left side, go to the 'Standard Bar Codes' tab. You should see the ISBT-128 barcode there. Double-click it to put it on your label. Easy0 -

Hi Jim, Thanks for your reply... I can't find what you are referring to however, I'm using Bartender Enterprise 8.0 I can see many barcode types including 128, but can't seem to find any reference to ISBT. Perhaps I'll have to look into the details and configure it manually

Maybe there's a folder like 1D Bar Codes? Its a pretty common bar code, I would imagine that BarTender has a sample somewhere...0 -
Please find attached a v8.01 compatible label format containing an ISBT-128 barcode.
It should be note that ISBT-128 is a barcode standard and not a barcode symbology. The symbology it uses is Code 128, but with the data content formatted to adhere to the ISBT-128 standard.
Think of a barcode symbology as the alphabet of a language. There are different "alphabets" such as Latin, Cyrillic, Greek, Kanji etc, in which a language can be written. A barcode standard could be viewed as being like a written language.
Therefore as an example, both ISBT-128 and GS1-128 share the same symbology ("alphabet") in the form of Code 128. However, they each contain different data formats ("languages"). This is the same concept as English and French which share the same alphabet (Latin) though are totally different when written in their respective languages (English and French).
