Does any one know how to set object value other than VBScript?

  You mean like via a data entry form or database field?  If an object has only a single data source then setting the object value is synonymous with setting a data source value.  There is also the "Object Value" data source type that allows you to set the value of a data source where the data is coming from the overall value in another object.
