Set Printer Specific Parameters

Hi, I was wondering if there was a way to programmatically change printer specific settings. The setting I'm thinking of in particular is darkness. For example, I might want to have a UI box that lets the user set their darkness. Thanks!

  Unfortunately this is not supported at the moment. You can work-around this in a way by having multiple copies of the same document, but that each will have different print setting embedded in the Document Properties. Yes we know that this is not an ideal solution, but it is all I can suggest for now.

  I don't think that would work for me. Each station has its own printer. When the user switches from the default printer in the document to the new printer (same kind, but potentially a different printer name), the darkness setting goes back to default. Implementing this would require the user edits the labels for every station.

  Is this for a Zebra printer?  If you set the defaults to be "Use setting in printer", then assuming the printer is already configured for the type of label media it has loaded all should work well?  Have you tried this?

   

  As I mentioned, we are aware of this sort of requirement and understand the usefulness of it.  However, it's just something that has not been implemented yet.  I'll make sure that development know that it's being requested.
