Prefix (RET) to barcode label
Good morning,
A decade ago I used BarTender Designer but unfortunately I lost the knowledge I had then and therefore seeking help.
I'm looking for a pragmatic solution where i'd like to print 9 on 5cm barcode labels where there is a header (= Retourlabel) and a barcode. Nothing fancy. The barcodes would need to be unique and would need to be updated through an excel sheet. For example 00001 to 10000, at a later stage 10001 to 20000 andsoforth.
The barcode would need to have a prefix that contains forexample "RET", so "RET00001".This Prefix is a hard requirement as on our scanners we would need to build a sanity check that the barcode scanned by a user is one of the barcodes which was provided.
I was hoping to somewhere find an easy instruction online on how I could achieve this.
Could someone more experienced point me towards the correct documentation or help me out with some tailered explanation?
In case more information is required on the use case please let me know.
Any input is highly appreciated,
Frederick

There are a few way to achieve this but probably the simplest would be to either create a Transforms>Prefix>RET the barcode string or else just add the RET as a separate sting as shown below (that would be the way I would do this)
