Conditional text field printing always or never
Hello!
We are using BarTender 2016 R9 and are reading a label request from a .dd network file, based on database fields in a tab delimited .txt file. Our labels have many conditional fields, that are suppressed when the database field doesn't equal a specific value, or when the previous database field doesn't equal a specific value - these work great.
However, we have just defined two embedded data fields that conditionally suppress based on a database field value. We thought this was working, but we have just realized that if a print request contains at least one qualifying label, all labels will print with the text field showing. This does not happen when viewing through print preview.
Has anyone run into this problem and/ or found a solution?

Not come across this per se but I did encounter something similar some time ago where the printer/driver seemed to think certain fields were static and not variable objects and so would not change even though the data did during the print run.
I think we had to tweak the performance settings on the Print Screen to disable static objects and caching to get round this and so maybe worth giving this a try or else you may need to use VB (Event Controlled > On New Record) to suppress the fields if the standard suppression is not working.
