  In order to troubleshoot your issue, we would appreciate it if you could provide us with more context. When did this error appear? Did you make any changes to your environment? Also, what BarTender version, edition, and service release are you currently on? You can find this information by navigating to the "Help > About" menu in BarTender Designer.
  
  In the meantime, we could try to work around this issue by trying the following fix:

  • Open Windows Services (search your start menu for "Services") and then find the BarTender System Service. Right-click it and restart it.
  • Open Add Remove Programs and select BarTender. Select Modify and then select the repair option to run a repair on your BarTender installation.
