Linking Data Sources Using Different Transforms

Hello,

I'm using Bartender 2016 and I have a GS1 DataMatrix on my label and I am trying to link the Lot and Serial Numbers to Text Fields outside of the barcode. When I link the data sources, the prefixes are printed. How can I link the two without printing the prefix on my external text field? I looked at this post https://support.seagullscientific.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/213173888-Print-Same-Data-Source-With-Different-Transforms-On-Label?input_string=Linking%20Data%20Sources%20Using%20Different%20Transforms but when I type in the VB suggested, I get an error saying that that the argument is not optional. I'm not sure what that means or how to fix it.

  Try use Object value data source, instead of named data source.

  1. Create a source text (Text 1) with database field data source.

  2. Create another text (Text A). Change data source type to Object Value of Text 1. Apply transform.

  3. Create another text (Text B). Change data source type to Object Value of Text 1 too. Apply different transform than Text B.

  4. If you don't want to show text 1, You can move the text out from template's printable area.
