Database Selection & Manual Input
Hello, I'm trying to make a basic address label that allows the user to manually change the address selected by Record Picker. The problem I am having is that if they manually edit a field after selecting it from the record than that field can no longer be changed by selecting another record, this would be fine except the reset button does not reset it either.
For Example.
Record 23 is selected with a Company Name of " Wallymart" and the Contact name of "David Jones" and then the user wishes to edit/modify that record by editing the text box with the datasource of contact_name and changes it to "Albert The Temp". As this happens he/she realizes they selected the wrong record to begin with so they click on the record picker again to re-choose the Company except no matter which company is selected, "Albert the Temp" is always in the contact field.
The Problem is the reset button does not correct this and the clear button does just that, clears everything and makes the record picker not work anymore.
Thank You for your time.

Reset button should reset all fields to the selected record's field values.
If your BarTender is older than 2016R5, try update to 2016R5.

Also, in Record Picker's property, specify selection method to "Single".

I have updated to r5.
I do not think you are following what I am trying to accomplish.
Here is a very quick demo I put together

As you can see, the clear and reset button breaks the record selector.

My bad, you right. In my case, reset button worked but after reset fields are not updated upon record selection - similar to clear button's bad behavior.
Unfortunately I don't have a very good alternative for that purpose - You would cancel the job and print again to get new record's data.I'll report to it to development division. Thank you, for notifying this.
